Tacky Twin Day

Meg's school had a Tacky Twin Day contest this week.  The kids were allowed to pair off with a friend, ditch their required collared shirts and have fun dressing alike.  Meg had already paired up with a friend when another one approached her at the last minute so the three of them decided to be Tacky Triplets for the day.  After digging through stashes and a couple of trips to the mall this is what they finally came up with.

Headbands and mustache suspenders from Claire's, red sequined shirts (clearanced at $3.99), skinny jeans, black shoes, disposable 3D glasses and mustache tattoos.

So on Wednesday there were three thin blond girls walking around campus looking just like this.  I wish I could have seen all of them together.

I found out later that Meg and her friends made it to the finals (top 5) of the contest, only to be beat out by two eighth grade boys very tackily dressed as girls.  In Meg's words, "They were a disgrace to women everywhere!"  She did say that their photo may appear in the yearbook so I might just be able to see them all together after all.
